chuck was born and raised by Jordan Lake Nova Scotia it was his home and he would never forget it. but chuck knew there was more out there, he knew there was a whole world to be explored and more creatures then he could imagine meeting.when chuck was young he was separated from his family. They where taken by men a creature chuck knew nothing about. Luckily for chuck he had a good friend the owl his name was Ollie. he was young and full of stories. He had so many story's about the world and the creatures that lived in it that he never stopped talking, but
chuck didn't mind he wanted to hear everything and he did. Months later chuck said good by to Ollie and started his exploration. But before chuck left, Ollie told him "Cape Breton is the place to be my friend its beautiful and the creatures are kind and friendly it is my home and I hope to see u there someday".
Chuck started on his way he was heading east where the sun greeted the world every morning. In two days time chuck made it to Milton. He was confused and didn't know what to do he was lost so he took a rest. When chuck was sitting on a big rock looking around he saw a truck he ran to it and jumped aboard he snuck a ride in the back. he heard of a truck in one of Ollie's stories where Ollie hurt his wing and had to get home so he snuck a drive. Good thing he heard the story because cape Breton is a far walk, well to far for a little groundhog like himself. Chuck didn't know where the truck was going but he knew it was heading east.
After the day had passed and the world was dark the truck stopped at a place with a big sign Antigonish chuck didn't know what it said but he knew he was a lot closer. chuck was tired and needed to find a place to rest so he flopped himself out of the truck and snuck behind a big green thing full of food scraps. he heard a rustling from inside it and was frightened "wh, wh, who's there" said chuck.
a scruffy voice replied "this is my can foo who are you"
"I, I, I'm chuck from Jordan lake I, I'm trying to get to Cape Breton.
"Oooo yeah I was at Jordan lake once not many garbage cans there but I heard the garbage is good in Cape Breton it's high class trash"
Then he popped his head out and chuck says "your a groundhog with a mask."
"No you fool I'm a raccoon do I look like a stinking woodchuck to you? I don't think so"
"Sorry I never meet a raccoon" chuck said.
"well what do u want." said the raccoon
"I need to get to Cape Breton"said chuck.
"I'm roger and I was heading that way anyways I'll help you get to the bridge"
Roger jumped out of the garbage can and said "well let's go no time to waste "
So chuck followed roger back to the truck that he just jumped out of and waited for it to move. after not to long of waiting a human jumped in and they where off. chuck was in the front hidden behind the seat. after a few minuts chuck got nervious. he jumped from behind the seat and the human panicked he started swearving. chuck took control of the wheel and strightened them out the human was in shock and just staired at the driving groundhog.
"do u talk if u can drive" said the man.
gerbal gerbal. gerbal gerbal gerbal. replyed chuck.
chuck crawled over and set in the seat next to the man and the man just kept driving. not to long after they where at the Canso Causeway chuck made it to Cape Breton.
